5Nines Distilling Whisky Altar Cask

The Altar Wine Cask Strength has been aged in French oak which was sourced from the Clare Valley and was a barrel which originally housed Altar Wine (Sacrificial Wine). The char on this oak is heavy leaving into a deep and warm dram, notes of burnt butter, charred wood, nutmeg and spice lead into a long smooth and warm finish.
