2020 Wild Fire Chardonnay

This wine carries over the gold medal-winning 2019 vintage, with its characteristic "Upper Yarra" character of lovely fruit and well-balanced acidity. Mostly second- and third-fill barrels of wood were utilized, so the fruit remained the dominant element in this superb wine.
A "leaner" style Chardonnay was produced by stopping the secondary fermentation process a bit early in the 2020 Chardonnay, in keeping with the overall theme of all Wild Fire Wines being extremely food friendly. A perfectly balanced wine rounds off the meal.
